Pauline McLoughlin is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), midwife, nurse, birth trauma resolution therapist, and educator. Supporting breastfeeding, infant feeding, and caring for women, parents, and families has always been at the heart of her professional journey.

With extensive experience in Ireland, Britain, and Australia, Pauline McLoughlin moved to Sligo with her newborn son and partner, later home birthing two more children. Recognising the importance of peer support, she co-founded a local breastfeeding support group in Sligo, which successfully ran for many years.

Pauline’s passion for birth and breastfeeding has shaped her career as a nurse and midwife in hospitals, a birth centre, and now as a practice nurse and midwife in Sligo. She became an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant in 2011. In 2012, Pauline established a private lactation consultation service, expanding to include birth trauma therapy in 2023.

Over the years, Pauline has shared her knowledge and expertise with families, GP trainees, public health nurses, practice nurses, and yoga teachers. She is dedicated to supporting families on their feeding and parenting journeys.
